When people want to buy land, they sometimes go to a land company to buy it. Some land companies own undeveloped land and sell it to people who want to develop it. Some land companies are developers that buy undeveloped land, get approval to develop the land, put in infrastructure and then sell individual plots of land within the development. Vendors will often give discounts to some land investment companies due to needing a sale. If you shop around, you can find land development and management companies that are more likely to work with you to come to an agreement both parties are happy with.
